One of the Windows tools I use to help understand what is going on is
TCPView by SysInternals.

Periodically I run it to see what might be causing network activity.
Sorting
the column "Remote Address" descending shows IP info by their remote IP
address.

So when I find a remote IP address in my current connection list that
goes
no-where, and I can get no information on it, and it won't tracert, and
there is no whois on it, it leads me to wonder to where my computer is
connected. (17.172.34.81) There is some traffic to it at times.

Do you encounter remote address connections that you can't resolve?

What do you think about it when you do?

Apparently 17.172.34.81 goes to Apple.
